Cyprus property transfers reach €3.72bn in first nine months of 2026

Property transfers in Cyprus were worth €3.72 billion in the first nine months of 2026, according to figures released by the Real Estate Agents Registration Council and drawn from the department of lands and surveys. Sales contracts deposited nationwide rose to 14,969 from 13,173 in the same period of 2025, an increase of 14 per cent. The number of completed property transfers grew by about 4.1 per cent, while their total value was up 6.6 per cent. The council said the market continued to support the growth of the Cypriot economy despite the challenges facing the sector this year, and that the rises came on top of an already strong 2025.

What it means for you

The figures show transaction numbers and values still climbing after a strong 2025, so buyers should plan for an active market rather than a slowdown; the source reports no change to procedures or rules.
