Bank of Cyprus event puts students face to face with AI's impact on careers
The Bank of Cyprus held an event bringing students together with experts to discuss how artificial intelligence is reshaping education, employment and future career prospects. Part of the bank's 'Young People Ask' initiative, which sits within its corporate social responsibility programme, the discussion let pupils raise concerns about AI and question its growing influence on traditional professions. The session was led by Elpidoforos Anastasiou, head of educational innovation for STEAM and emerging technologies at Globeducate and head of innovation at Pascal, who also founded the Cyprus Space Foundation and is pursuing a doctorate at the Cyprus University of Technology. He spoke about AI's expanding role in education and the changes it may bring to employment.
